18th September 2009My first photoshoot of the month was on the 1st and was an impromptu session organised by Melika and Rebecca. Their plan was to interview me on what makes me tick as a photographer and also to get a few shots for the fashion-cut blogspot they contribute to.

Well, after much mirth, several coffees, and some chaotic attempts to get a few good shots, we closed with a promise that they would let me see their final blog before publication. We also agreed to have a more orderly shoot in the near future.

The next week was quiet from a photography point but very active with a new project that Louise had taken on. Her clients went off on a 3 week vacation leaving her to strip out an existing bathroom and upgrade with new ceiling, plastering, tiling, bathroom suite, shower and radiators.
The strip out and construction of the lowered ceiling lasted most of the week and many bags of rubble and old suite carried out from the 2nd floor to the back garden. This next 2 weeks will see the transformation!

One unexpected image was to be taken on my regular Saturday at our Pine warehouse. The warehouse lies on the flight path of incoming planes to Newcastle Airport and I usually take my long lens to catch the various planes as they arrive.

A Plane from the Queen's Flight
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were visiting Delaval Hall in Charles' capacity as President of the National Trust.
It seems likely that they used this flight.

In the last few days I have had another shoot with gorgeous Maxine

, our last as she prepares to return for the start of her 2nd year at UCL. We had two items on the agenda - firstly to get some less formal natural light shots in the various rooms around the house and secondly to produce some close up images of her hand made jewellery - see

We succeeded in getting a goodly collection of natural light shots but as time ran out we had to concede on the jewellery.

The jewellery was to take me quite a few hours over the next 2 days as I fine-tuned the small items setup I have developed for closeups. This is a glass trestle that I have used for some time and which I originally developed for my previous business of selling antique art glass on the web.
Max can now start uploading the images to her Etsy website.

I respect the watermarks, but they still disturb my reception of your awesome work!
